Since the announcement of its return and the unveiling of the first images, the new Integra arouses curiosity and makes the most impatient ones tremble. After the disclosure of the production model and its launch in June, its arrival is more tangible than ever!

Learn more about the Acura Integra 2023, its mechanics, its design and its interior equipment.

Performance with a Civic Si-Based Engine

In the past, the Acura Integra already drew many mechanical elements from the Honda Civic, which has performance versions in its arsenal after all. The new Acura Integra will use the Civic Si’s engine, a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder.

It will deliver a generous 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Will there be even more performance, such as a version of the Honda Civic Type R? Everything points to the fact that it won’t be an Acura Integra Type R, but rather a Type S, as is the case with many of the brand’s models.

“A sportier Integra could use a powertrain borrowed from the Honda Civic Type R, [...] with a power output approaching 300 horsepower.”
William Clavey, RPM

Until we know more, only one engine is available for the moment. However, like the Honda sedan, it will be possible to add an extra touch of fun with an optional 6-speed manual transmission. This will be offered on the Elite A-Spec model; a CVT will be available on the other models.

Driving pleasure was the focus of the original model, and it still is. The integrated dynamic system allows you to adjust the settings to your liking with different driving modes:

  • Comfort
  • Normal
  • Sport
  • Individual (with Elite A-Spec)

With this latest version, even the sound settings can be customized.

2023 Acura Integra: A Sporty Hatchback

The Acura Integra five door will not be a coupé or a sedan like the Civic Si, but a hatchback. It recalls the sporty shape of the old Integra with its sloping roof.

Several other features contribute to the sporty look, including:

  • A well-sculpted hood
  • Dynamically styled 17" or 18" wheels
  • Bright Jewel Eye LED headlights
  • Rear spoiler (A-Spec)

The ChicaneMC taillights are also dynamically shaped and make the car recognizable from all angles. For a distinctive look, vibrant colors are added to the Elite A-Spec’s choices: Performance Red Pearl and Ultimate Blue Pearl.

A Luxurious Interior

When you open the doors of the Acura Integra, you’ll discover a quality interior, using materials such as leatherette as standard, and Ultrasuede on the more upscale versions. With the A-Spec, you can choose between a black interior or a sportier look with red leather.

On board, the driver enjoys an 8-way power-adjustable seat on the base model, or 12-way power-adjustable with the Elite package. The latter version takes luxury to the next level with the addition of features such as

  • Heated rear seats
  • Driver’s seat memory
  • 16-speaker ELS Studio audio system
  • LED ambient lighting

Note that the front seats are heated as standard, as is the steering wheel, which is wrapped in leather.

Acura Integra Specs: Plenty of Technology

Inside, infotainment and driver assistance technologies are countless. In the center is a 7- or 9-inch touchscreen that integrates your Apple and Android phone apps, which can even incorporate Alexa Assistant and other useful features.

On the safety side, advanced features are added to the more traditional ones. For example, the car can recognize traffic signs, detect movement behind the car and more!

Despite a large number of standard features, the Acura Integra’s price remains attractive. Here’s more information on the Acura Integra specs:
