With all the models available on the market, it’s sometimes difficult to know which SUV to buy. Should you go for an Acura SUV or a Lexus SUV? What’s the best choice between the 2023 Acura RDX vs 2023 Lexus RX350?

To help you make the best decision, your Acura Montreal Centre dealership did a comparison for you. Whether it’s about the engine, interior or price, you’ll find here all the information you need to make an informed choice.

Acura RDX Interior vs Lexus RX350 Interior

The 2023 Acura RDX comes with several technological amenities we have come to expect with an Acura SUV, like:

  • 10.2-inch high-definition center display
  • 7-inch dashboard
  • Head-up display available on Platinum Elite trim, etc.

On the Lexus RX350, the screen is only 9.8-inch, and if the head-up display is standard on the RDX Platinum Elite trim, it must be added to the price of the RX350 since it’s optional.

Moreover, for a price similar to the RX350, the RDX Platinum Elite comes with heated back seats, which is another option you need to add and pay extra for if you want those particular seats in your RX350.

There is a striking difference between the cargo volume of the two vehicles. If we fold down the back seats, the 2023 RDX can fit in up to 1668 litres, while the RX350 can only manage 1393 litres.

Speaking of space, there’s more legroom for passengers in the 2023 RDX than in the RX350. The Acura car has 1057 mm of legroom at the front, and 975 mm at the back, while the Lexus has 1044 mm at the front and 949 mm at the back.

Powertrain: 2023 Acura RDX vs 2023 Lexus RX350

Each Acura RDX comes with a 2.0 L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This engine generates 272 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. of torque.

The only gas engine model of the Lexus RX350 comes with a 2.4 L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and delivers 275 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. The performance is almost the same as the RDX, but the Acura vehicle is available at a lower price.

As for acceleration, the 2023 RDX takes 7.0 seconds to hit 100 km/h, while the RX350 takes 7.4 seconds. It takes 0.4 second more to catch up with the RDX!

This better acceleration is no doubt due in part to the Acura RDX’s 10-speed transmission, since the Lexus RX350 has only an 8-speed transmission.

Both vehicles show reasonable and almost similar fuel consumption in the city: The Lexus gets 11.2 L/100 km, and the Acura 11.3 L/100 km.

Acura RDX Price vs Lexus RX350 Price

For a lower price, the Acura RDX A-Spec offers:

  • Better acceleration
  • More cargo volume
  • A bigger center display
  • Many standard amenities, that are on option for the RX350

Indeed, a lot of the amenities that comes standard on the RDX’s base model have to be added to the price of the 2023 RX350, if you would like to have them. With the 2023 RDX Platinum Elite, the RDX’s superior trim, which starts at a similar price as the RX350, you get more value for money.

All that being said, if you’re leaning towards the 2023 Acura RDX, or if you want to know more about other Acura cars, don’t hesitate to come and visit your Acura dealership, Acura Montreal Centre, at the heart of the city and close to Laval and Longueuil.
